Forced Affection

I am often found guilty of forcing love on my dog, moku... and more recently my family(and boyfriend) have been so kind as to point out that I force affection on my cutest ever little nephew, Miles. HOW SAD!!! The other day as I was "forcing affection" with Miles, I was rocking back and forth on the ground with him and he was absolutely loving it. He was giggling and laughing with his mouth wide open, and of course I was making baby faces and being silly with MY mouth wide open. Although Kirsten was watching this fun rollar coaster ride, she failed to inform me that Miles had just finished dinner. During one of our upside down rocking positions Miles decided to so graciously spew in my mouth. Needless to say, I had a mouth full of baby food vomit, and all my sister did was laugh. If I do remember correctly it was Tim who was my hero, bringing me a large portion of paper towel. :) Although I am accused of using coercion when wanting to cuddle... I am
sure taking the short end of the stick when it comes to ideal outcomes. (don't worry it won't deter me one bit!!!!)

An interesting Yoga class

YOGIS--------

Oh how I wish I had an actual picture of my instructor from sunday morning in my ashtanga class. He had a strong New York accent, and his hair looked like a graying bozo the clown. Besides what his appearance might be, I was moving through my vinyasa enjoying class...when all of a sudden in one of my twisting pretzel positions (some position that could look something similar to the image on the left) the instructor decided to sit on the floor and straddle his legs around me. Now you might think that this could not get any worse...but unfortunately for me, my arms were very tightly twisted behind my back and needless to say he brushed himself up against me... ugh!AHHHHH!!! yes yes yes... what you are thinking happened most definately did happen. I felt as though I had entered a movie, a comic no doubt, and I was the yoga student that the instructor was trying to hit on. He continued to try to "perfect" my poses(gag ya right)... and after a string of multiple awkward positions and moments between himself and I, class was over. Oh dear oh dear! I proceeded to find out his name after the class so that I could avoid any future encounters.

Mowing the Lawn

Today was my first time mowing a lawn with a push mower. Now you must be wondering... how old am I and could I possibly be the most spoiled girl to have not learned how to mow a lawn. Well I grew up with such a large back yard that all we had was a riding lawn mower. So today as I stood outside, right beside a very busy road, I attempted to start the mower and could not. I pulled on things and looked in the gas tank, and continued to tug, tug, tug, tug, tug...and nothing! Lot of cars drove by, lots of honks, lots of funny stares, and there I stood looking completely clueless and stumped. So I called a few people for advice... Mom answered...and she was as clueless as I was( like mother like daughter). But as for my attempt to get a hold of someone who actually knew how to operate one of these machines...didn't happen, no one answered. From that point I decided to go inside and take my mind off of the damn thing. I began emailing a couple professors and than got a brilliant idea...I WOULD GOOGLE IT! I typed in "how to start a lawn mower" and BAM I got tips of the trade. who would have thought that there was actually going to be specific tips on the internet for that, but technology has advanced so much to provide silly information like that for people like me...hee hee. Come to find out there is a little button on the lawn mower that says "prime" and you push it a few times and it primes the gas. Well I pranced outside excited to try the prime button out on my lawn mower. 30 minutes later we had freshly cut grass and I felt successful! :) Lesson learned... if all else fails-google it!

THE EVENTUAL UPDATE....

So..... As most of you all know, I am really bad at getting on and blogging, but I get inspired and motivated about once a year, so this is my blog for the year(there might be one or two more but on average this is about it) I just got back from a fun little climbing trip down in Red Rocks and St. George, It was a big blast, lots of tough climbing and hiking. At one point we got lost on our hike down from the crag in the dark and I ended up with 3 new big blisters on my feet(those damn chacos on the gravel). This picture I posted is a 12A climb on the Steep and Sunny wall at Red Rocks.... no I did not send this climb clean, wha wha.
As for the rest of life, I started nursing school last fall and will be FINALLY done with my bachelors degree in 2010(ABOUT TIME!). I have a new nephew, in which you can view on my sister's blog(because I cannot figure out how to post more than just one picture), his name is Miles and supposedly he just has his first roll over, which is thrilling. Lets see... what else... Well I do have another new roommate, I have been going through roomies like mad in the past few years due to a little thing called marriage. I guess that that's to be expected at this age(and in UT ). I think that I have finally hit a roommate that will stick around for a while however, she has a boyfriend but is not in any hurry. Im SAFE! :) Let me just say that I do feel like the pressure that is put on people to get married so young around these parts is ridiculous. I get it from my mother all the time, she wanted to nominate me for the show the BACHELOR for hells sake. (which is not up my ally). I think I will stick to my rock walls and climbing for the time being, that is my only love at this time! :)
