Our New Addition

While I continue to go to baby shower after baby shower, and hear about the news of yet another friend being pregnant... I will continue to love my animals at home! No kids yet folks.
We do have a new addition to our little furry family though, and his name is Jack... also sometimes called Jacko... Shit head... and my personal favorite is "my little prince."
I found Ryan cuddling him a few weeks ago, calling him "my little prince," and I just thought it was so darn cute, and funny. Ry loves that little creature more than I do (and I love him a lot!)
The dogs sure love him too!!

He likes to sleep right on top of us, and sometimes curls up in the sweetest little nooks. The other day I found him curled up in our curtains, like it was a little tepee. :)
We love him, and think he is the greatest addition... who would have thought we
would have been "cat people." :)

Hiking with the pups

This Video is of Ferguson Canyon during a snow storm. We love hiking with the dogs up Ferguson at any time during the year. This particular day we ran into a real big grumper pants man in the parking lot. He was up hiking with his old duffer dog, and Belle ran up to say hi. We had the dogs off leash, and he was so pissed. He started swearing at us F- this, F-that... and I was really scared that he was going to slash our tires when we got back to the car.... (we did immediately put the dogs on a leash to please the guy...)
This is a picture of us anticipating our slashed tires and broken windows on the car. eeekkkk. When we were coming back down the trail, we ran into him again and he was so apologetic and almost cried because he felt so bad... he said he was "just having a bad day man"...
I had to laugh about it as soon as we walked away because this man was seriously out of control one second and than the next second crying to us. So strange!
Have to climb all year round! Extreme Unction with gloves on! hee hee

I love these dogs!

Squirrel Time

Ryan and I have this amazing tree right in front of our house that he has placed 2 bird feeders in and is diligent about re-filling them for the birds. We have a full view of the tree from our couch, and love to watch the birds fly in and out, diving down to the ground and nibbling on the food available in the bird houses. Well recently we have found that we have a neighborhood bully living in an adjacent tree... Mr. Winston "the Squirrel" we have called him. (We've even named some of the birds... we are total nerds I know, but we absolutely love watching the little interactions in the tree). Well Winston seems to have decided that the tree is his territory and loves chasing all the birds out. He is a pretty agile little guy and we like to think that he is a pretty damn good climber. :) The dogs love watching Winston, and sometimes Winston watches them back. Today Ryan put a couple little pine cones in the tree at various places, and one by one Winston cleaned house. We decided he is probably stashing his pine cones in the adjacent pine shrub, hoarding his little treasures for a rainy day when the bird feeders are empty.... what a selfish little bugger.

NEW CAR!!

I finally had to retire ole' hank the truck! I had lots of good memories in that truck, but on to bigger and better AND SAFER things! It was time to upgrade to something more reliable. I was hoping the ole' truck would make it through the winter, but to no avail he just didn't pass safety. So the picture above is not the actual photo of my car... I will get some of those up as soon as I take some. But this picture is a of a 2007 suburu forester... which is what I got. And the color is the same as the one in the photo. Very exciting to be riding in "luxury"... :)

Fall in Utah

I posted a video of the dogs and I at the park one morning. We all love going to the park and watching me attempt to hit tennis balls into the field for the dogs to chase. I "airball" it often enough that sometimes Belle doesn't even want to chase my balls. As most of you close to me know... although I may be athletic when it comes to hand/eye coordination I am terrible (ie. Tennis). I sure love these pups though!

I decided I should do some updating, and I wanted to post so
me pictures of Utah in the fall. It was beautiful this year, and snowed early too! This picture was taken up Big Cottonwood Canyon on the Crest trail when I was biking this fall.

Ryan and I finally moved in together, and it has been better than I could have imagined. He is one of the best parts of my day!
